Deciding on the type and level of estate planning is complicated, and there is a lot of misinformation out there.
My 2012 "California Consumer Guide to Wills, Living Trusts, and Estate Planning" is designed to outline the main planning options available, from doing nothing at all to having a comprehensive estate plan using a revocable living trust as the basis.
For those with larger estates who are concerned about income taxation and the future of the federal estate tax (i.e. the "Death Tax"), the brochure contains discussions of special planning for retirement plan assets, charitable trusts, and irrevocable life insurance trusts, as well as a brief description of planning for special needs children.
You may download and distribute this brochure freely to family, friends, and co-workers.
